A rhythm from Japan for jamming, playing along tracks or to use as a starting base for improvisation. In Japanese, Matsuri means Festival, and this rhythm is a basic part of them. Taking the basic pattern as the starting point, each festival / region / ensemble builds its own groove. Matsuri is usually played on a Taiko, supported by smaller drums and, as with most of Japanese drumming, the visual performance of the drummer(s) is of great importance. 00:00:00 Intro 00:00:12 Basic Pattern [slow] Play-Along 00:01:58 Basic Pattern [slow] Call & Response 00:03:26 Basic Pattern [fast] Play-Along 00:04:02 Basic Pattern [fast] Call & Response 00:04:46 Variation 1 [slow] Play-Along 00:05:58 Variation 2 [slow] Play-Along 00:07:09 Summary Click like if you like it, subscribe for more weekly rhythms, but most of all have fun! ===================== #djembeDrum #djembeRhythm #learnDjembe
