“They say I should be careful around others, that I should keep a distance…. That is difficult to do as someone who is reliant on other people,” he says. Just recently #Vaccinated, Dila Bhatta from Duhun in Darchula District talks about some of the particular challenges for persons with disabilities amidst the risks and restrictions created by the #COVID19 pandemic. While he is relieved that he has gotten the vaccine – donated by the US Government to Nepal through the COVAX Facility, Dila hopes the campaign can accelerate across the country. “Vaccines should be distributed in an equitable way, they should be available to everyone if we are to drive out COVID-19 from the country,” he says. “If there are a hundred people who are vaccinated, but one who isn’t, the disease will continue to spread.” Read the full story: https://www.unicef.org/nepal/stories/vaccines-most-vulnerable
