It is our tradition to draw everyday morning at the door steps. There are many benefits of drawing kolam in front of the houses. It is belief goddess Lakshmi enters the house if the kolam drawn. Kolam brings lots of positive vibrations and energy to you and your home. Draw kolam soon after you wakeup and then do your prayers. Kolam or rangoli is a part if our Indian culture and trasferred from one  generation next generation. It is ancient art form is also called muggulu in part of south India like andhra Pradesh, telangana. People drawn different types of creative rangoli kolam like dots kolam,sikku kolam, padi kolam, margazhi kolam. People draw special rangoli design for festival like sankaranthi (pongal),diwali (deepavali) , vijaya dasami ( dasara) . Women create deepam rangoli or kolam designs during dewali festival time. It is the belief among the people that drawing muggulu in front of the houses soon after Wake brings good fortune to them and their family. People mix rice flour to lime stone powder and prepair their own kolam powder. Muggulu can also be drawn with rice flour. This beautiful and creative designs are decorated with flowers based on the ocation or festival.
