A while ago I wrote a set of preludes for piano - mostly dark and depressing - but the final instalment (B major, no. 5) was supposed to sweep all this aside and finish the set on a real high-note: optimistic; triumphant; romantic; virtuosic. A love story; a fairy-tale. Ironically though, I hated it. It always felt more like a draft than a finished piece. So a couple of years later I'm delighted to finally have re-worked it into something I'm proud of, and finishes with a real bang 😍🎶🎧🎹🎼 In fact, I think it's my best writing yet. New recording with HQ samples - do have a listen! Please subscribe if you like my playing :-) Thanks, Chris x Copyright Chris H. Hill, 2019. Recorded on a Roland HP307 with Garritan CFX samples
