Hey guys welcome back! Today I had my craft itch again, so I rolled up my sleeves and finally decided to use these 4 blank canvases I have been saving for this project I’ve been brainstorming for a while now. I basically watched and looked into several easy DIY (do it yourself) painting strategies and combined the ones I liked the best, to create this set! So then of course my next thought was, I gotta film this and share it with you all so you can create your own!
What you’ll need from your local craft store, dollar store, or department store:
- 4 Pieces of canvas (or as many or few as you’d like to create! It doesn’t have to be a set)
- Any colour of acrylic paint(s) and preferably back and white paint to lighten or darken; I used blue, red, yellow, black, white, and made all the colours by mixing those colours
- A large/wide paint brush for the large stroke, you can lather the same large brush with paint later for the splattering step, and a fine tip brush for detailed black lines
- A pencil to sketch your pattern
- A garbage bag and tape to protect the workspace
- A cup of water (change it often) to wash or dampen your brushes
- Disposable plates to mix the colours on (use it as a paint pallet)
- AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST YOUR KILLER IMAGINATION!
You don’t have to do the items I did! You can do anything, from a simple skyline, to the outline of a car, to calligraphy and cool alphabets! Think outside the box!
Thanks for watching! I’ll see you tomorrow!
