If I might add, they certainly are.
So much so that a lawsuit was started because of this problem, demanding that the engine be replaced under warranty and/or the waste gate had to be repaired.

After that my car acts lik in limbo with no boost at all. I ran a diagnostic and it confirm my booster pressure solenoid was defective. I replaced a new one and all errors disappear except error 29A400 saying charging pressure actuator position control. charging pressure actuator closed too far/positive deviation. My rode is a long plastic going from the wastegate to the turbocharger locked by a c-clips. Please help me. I need to make a crack pressure and adjust the wastgate properly. ...

@musclefactory9181last year I’ve got a couple options for installation that I wanted to run by you and see what you think?
Option #1 install coolant pipe and oil pipe into engine block below the header before installing the exhaust manifold?
Option #2 install exhaust manifold, firstly, and then the pipes if clearance will allow it?
Option #3 fit the Turbo cartridge into the turbo housing after option #2 ?
Option #4 Assemble the Exhaust Manifold and marry the cartridge to the turbo housing and carefully bring it into positioning with the studs, considering option #1

@boomy81810 months ago You can do this, but the wastegate valves are a common failure item on these cars, and if your doing just the cartridge its only a matter of time until you have to replace everything due to bad wastegates

If the cartridge is out and if the blades are in good condition, mind as well rebuild it for $30 parts than couple hundreds $ to replace the cartridge. ...
