I tried that viral applesauce buttercream frosting recipe that I originally saw on Emmymade (link below) and then began to see everywhere! I was so curious to see what it tasted like, and it looked really simple to make. Part way through the recipe I felt like it wasn't going to work and I wondered if I had just wasted a whole bunch of ingredients. But to my surprise, it turned out beautifully in the end.
