The Cato Ridge Dry Port Development Project

The Cato Ridge Development Project will be undertaken in partnership with Transnet, eThekwini Municipality, AmaXimba Community, SANRAL, KZN DoT and TIKZN. Due to the magnitude of this undertaking, a Project Steering Committee with Transnet, the Community and eThekwini Municipality has been established. The Cato Ridge Project will focus on an integrated development of the following key project levels , thereby unlocking various economic opportunities for multiple economic sectors of our economy. The project aims to develop a strategic Dry Port in Cato Ridge as a back-of-port facility that will contribute to decongestion at the Port of Durban and within the Durban CBD, thereby creating additional capacity for the Port of Durban
